Holmquist Advanced Chiropractic FAQs

Have a Question?

When patients first begin chiropractic care, they often have a number of questions. Here, we address some of the most common questions we hear at Holmquist Advanced Chiropractic.

How much does chiropractic care cost?

The cost of your care will depend primarily on the complexity of your case and the time required. Your first visit, including evaluation and adjustment, will cost approximately $25 with our current coupon special.

How long will I need to be seen before I feel better?

Most of our patients feel 20-70% relief on the first visit.

What types of treatment plans are offered?

We offer three care options depending on the level of care you need. We will explain these options, make our suggestions and then you will determine how long you’ll continue seeing us.

  • Relief Care: When you are in immediate pain, we’ll plan to see you for eight to ten visits over the course of a month. After that, we’ll reevaluate your condition and adjust your plan.
  • Corrective Care: A program of corrective care typically lasts about six months and incorporates chiropractic as well as nutrition and physical therapy to strengthen all areas of weakness.
  • Maintenance or Wellness Care: Once you’ve reached the point of maintenance or wellness care, you’ll typically see Dr. Holmquist one time each month.

Once I start chiropractic care, will I always have to go?

Again, the choice is yours. Some patients choose to be seen regularly to help maintain the benefits they’ve achieved. Others simply want to relieve immediate pain and then discontinue care.

Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?

Ordinarily, an adjustment brings a sense of relief rather than pain. If you are in acute pain, you might feel discomfort just touching the affected area. It’s like going to the gym after a long time away. You are activating muscles that haven’t been working the way they should. More than 90 percent of patients leave the office feeling 20 to 70 percent better than when they came in.

Are chiropractic adjustments safe?

Yes, chiropractic adjustments are safe. Medical malpractice insurance increases based on the perceived risk to the patient for a particular procedure or procedures. Malpractice insurance rates are routinely significantly lower for chiropractors than for medical doctors, because the risk for harm is considerably less.
